If RE8 players are also interested in attempting to get away from friends online, RE:Verse may be a fun distraction. RE8 continues the narrative where RE7 dropped off, taking protagonist Ethan Winters on another harrowing adventure, this time at the instigation of series regular Chris Redfield. RE:Verse was revealed alongside new Resident Evil 8 gameplay, where it was definitely just a sideshow. Not much else is known about the game itself right now, but players who are interested in buying Resident Evil Villagecan look forward to checking out the game themselves.
The gameplay looks like there's still a bit of work to be done before release, and its comic book aesthetic might be jarring, but there's potential for a frantic and fun game in RE:Verse. At the January 2021 Resident Evil Showcase, Capcom revealed Resident Evil RE:Verse, a multiplayer action game that players can grab for free, in which a variety of Resident Evil heroes and villains face off against each other in iconic settings.
